Burma cyclone: Ill winds hit the wrong places

Folks,
Talk about degrees of separation.
I have a colleague at work who has family in Rangoon and thankfully, they're alright. Their house suffered some damage but not serious enough to leave them exposed to the elements. The telephone system is slowly being restored and some households are lucky enough to have portable generators for some power.
But the biggest roadblock to getting aid into this hermit nation is the incompetent junta government there. These people are no more than common thugs dressed up as military men. They have no idea about running a country, let alone deal with a catastrophe such as the weekend's massive cyclone.
It's a pity that the cyclone's path didn't slam right into the main buildings housing most of the government departments and/or the major military barracks. Nature has a way of evening scores when you least expect it.
The corrupt and useless junta should take the cyclone as a warning that a power far greater than them will level the playing field someday. I'd much rather see the backs of these goons than the carnage left behind since last weekend.
