Folks,

I remember Ah Meng from way back when I was traipsing around Singapore as a youngster. The Singapore Zoo, which to me is one of the best I've ever visited anywhere, will be the poorer without Ah Meng.

This gentle beast demonstrated more grace than heaps of people I know.

It is sad to learn that she's passed away, aged 48 years.

Vale Ah Meng.

It's really quite sad that she has passed away. She is a Singaporean icon. The zoo will not be the same without her. She will be dearly missed.
