Malaysian blogger charged with sedition... huh??

Folks,
I've only been made aware of this man's recent detention through Aput's blog.
I'm not surprised that in Malaysia, this blogger was farcically charged. Lots have been thrown in a Malaysian jail for a lot less. What did surprise me was how long Raja Petra Kamarudin (a.k.a RPK) was able to blog inside Malaysia without being jailed a lot sooner.
You see, in Malaysia RPK is seen as someone who "sticks it to the man" via the internet... and then some.
I am a regular visitor to his blog and I enjoy his straight-shooting style of advocacy journalism.
But I'm still scratching my head as to precisely when and where RPK could be charged with sedition under Malaysian law. Doesn't matter though.
I think the thin-skinned twats in KL just did RPK a major favour and upped his street cred even more.
